Q1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
We used the channel 4 creative website to compare the print advert to a professional print advert to get the correct codes and conventions. Above are the codes and conventions labled.
Here is a screen capture of the timeline of the radio advert, I have labled the codes and conventions withtin the picture. The voiceover follows the narrative of the documentary and explains what the programme is about to the audience. It also at the end gives the schuduling of the programme.
Q3. What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
Here is a video of our audience feedback taking place
This presentations show the results of the audience feedback and what I learnt from them:
Documentary Results
Advert Results
We Uploaded our productions to facebook these are the comments we got and what I have learnt from them:
The advert was described as professional which shows we followed the codes and conventions well. The slogan was said to looks floaty so if we were to do it again we could move it closer to the edge or next to the title.
We got good feedback on our documentary, but if we were to change the documentary we would use a different voiceover as it has been criticised throughout. We got good feedback on out opening titles also and another popular comment was that it was very creative.
This is some audience feedback from individuals, from this feedback it shows I could have used a better voiceover artist and checked sound levels more carefully. Also the overall product could have been more bright and colourful. But overall good comments were given in my individual feedback.
